In the SportPlus Chess Program, we nurture these young minds and players, developing critical and strategic thinking skills using one of the world's most beautiful and ancient games. Our chess curriculum starts with the basics of chess before moving on to advanced tactics, pattern recognition, and situational problem solving. Through engaging lessons and challenging exercises, we hope our kids learn to think several moves ahead, in chess and in life.

Our beginner chess groups are perfect for kids new to the game. Learn the basics of chess, develop critical thinking skills, and make new friends!
$95 per month
Frequency: 1 class per week
Class Length: 1 hour
Duration: 4 weeks

Intermediate
Our intermediate chess classes meet more frequently (2x a week) and are for kids who are familiar with the game and ready to learn developed strategies.

Private Chess
Instruction
Private chess instruction is an option for parents who feel their kids are better suited to learn in a 1-on-1 setting or those wanting to prepare for tournament play.
$80 per private
Frequency: 1 class
Class Length: 1 hour
Tuition payment for all SportPlus classes is due on the 1st of each month. Tuition fees are non-refundable. Any missed classes due to illness, vacation, or other reasons are not refunded. Exceptions may be made in certain cases with proper advance notice.
Family Deposit Fee….. $50 (refundable)**
**Deposit fee will be applied to your last tuition if you notified us
30 days prior to the dropping month. If you did not let us know 30 days
prior to the dropping month, the deposit fee will not be refundable.

SportPlus Academy has been located in Indian Trail since 2021, serving neighborhoods across Charlotte, including Monroe, Matthews, Unionville, Wesley Chapel, and Weddington.
SportPlus was founded by a local mother who felt the challenges many parents face. She wanted her children to enjoy a variety of extracurricular activities, but quality programs and kids' sports in Charlotte were scattered. While traveling abroad, she discovered "kid super centers"—large, all-in-one facilities where children could explore multiple sports. She asked herself, "Why isn’t there a center like this near me?"
Other parents in Indian Trail felt the same way. Compared to central Charlotte, it was clear that our area was underserved. So, the dream began: why not build a place near us, where sports and learning come together under one roof?
Indian Trail is home. And it was clear to us that there was no better place to build this premier kids' center for youth enrichment—a center where children can find a sport they love and pursue it, where they can learn and challenge their minds, and where they can become healthier and smarter.
